Sad News

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing on Saturday 21 July of our Honorary President Mr Murray Macleod. Murray and the late Wattie Louden were responsible for reinstating Tain Highland Gathering in 1993 and it was their hard work and determination that has brought us to where we are today. He was Gathering Chieftain in 2003. I, personally, will be forever grateful to Murray for all his help and guidance over the years and the thoughts of everyone associated with the Gathering are very much with Ewan, Alasdair and their families, and Kenneth, at this sad time. Murray's funeral service will take place in Tain Parish Church on Saturday 28 July at 10.30am and thereafter to Creich Cemetery, Bonar Bridge. RIP Mr Macleod - you will be sorely missed.
